Pearl Harbor

Aloha, today was an awesome historical day!  We went to Pearl Harbor and visited this amazing, gigantic warship called the USS Missouri. We separated ourselves in two groups. While the one group was doing a service project and helped clean the warship, the other group took a tour through the ship.
The ship was way bigger than everyone expected it to be. The rifles were huge. It was interesting to see how the people lived and how crowded it must have been. The inside of the ship was so big that if you wouldn’t have a map you could get lost easily. After our visit to the USS Missouri we went to get lunch. Then we went to the USS Arizona memorial. The first thing we did there was watching an amazing movie which answered many questions. After the movie we took a ferry to the USS Arizona memorial. We showed respect to the fallen soldiers from Pearl Harbor by being quiet and dressing appropriate. After this amazing day at Pearl Harbor we spent the time on our bus ride home by hearing everyone sing their own national anthems and talking about the differences between our home countries and the U.S.
When we arrived to the hotel we had free time until we went to dinner at the restaurant called MAC 24/7. After dinner we had free time for a couple hours again, a lot of us went to the beach to hang out, went shopping or just went back to the hotel. It was a great day!
