North Shore and the Polynesian Cultural Center!!

ALOHA!!!!!
One more day in paradise. Wow! After yesterday’s beach day, we went to the north shore and Polynesian cultural center. We had a lot of fun experiencing the different cultures.
We started the day with a nice breakfast of fruits and pancakes. The busses were leaving at 8.30am to the Iolani Palace where everyone learned about the royal history of Hawaii. All the girls got a group picture with the statue of the Hawaiian queen. The boys got one with the statue of the Hawaiian king. The bus took everyone to the next stop at the pineapple plantation. All the excited students could try the famous whip cream, get airbrush tattoos or a wrist band with the students’ translated Hawaiian name and other souvenirs.
When everyone got back on the bus we went to the north shore with its famous surfing waves.  Everyone was amazed by the big waves even though the local people had seen them a lot bigger.
Everybody was hungry by then and we had free time for lunch in the authentic surfer town, Haleiwa. Most of us went to a burger place who served burgers with pineapples. It was a different experience from the classic bacon cheeseburger but it was worth it. We took a group picture of all of us at the sunset beach. The wheels on the bus started again and transported us to the Polynesian cultural center.
First we saw a little bit of the canoe show before we all went to another show with music where everybody was involved in the show. The show had some people that were watching it coming up to the stage and preformed traditional dances and music. It was hilarious! Especially the old Japanese man with a funny hat. We learned how to Hula dance and lots of other traditions from pacific islands. At night we watched an amazing movie showing all the Hawaiian islands and an astonishing show about the different Polynesian cultures. Now we are a bunch of tired students who want to go to bed and only dream about a new day in paradise tomorrow.
Hang loose all of our Ohana (family) who read this!
