Pali Lookout and Our Own Beautiful Paradise!

Day 4. Let’s sleep in! After a nice “breakfast”, consisting of cereal and muffins, we were heading out to the Pali Lookout. View: fabulous People: yelling Norwegians: singing their national anthem. The rest: celebrating #selfie-Tuesday!
Afterwards, we took a funny group picture with all different kinds of national flags. It was hilarious. Then we quickly run back to the bus, so that you don’t get blown away! Before heading to a remote beach, we went buying some healthy foods at whole food, Subway or CVS. Some groups even bought complete picnic supplies to make up their own buffet at the beach. Waimānalo Bay: golden Hawaiian sand (instead of Australian sand at Waikiki), high waves and the blue sea helped to make our day marvelous and one of the most spectacular places we’ve ever experienced. Additionally, our personal lifeguard made it even a safer adventure in the beautiful ocean. 15 students at a time were allowed to enjoy the churning sea. We had a lot of fun building a human pyramid, followed by a couple other beach games, for example, we lined up in two lines holding each other’s hands. One of the Belo Staff members was thrown onto the line and we worked her way down to the end of the line by tossing her up and down and up again.
After taking a group picture and selfies for social media applications we loaded back on the bus in order to go back to the hotel. An hour later, we left to the largest open-air shopping center in the world.
We then filled up our stomachs at the famous Bubba gum shrimp and went shopping in the many stores. The record: four full bags of clothing. Surprising fact: by a guy, not a girl.
It was a full packed, exhausting day, lots of students got sunburned but everybody had a great time. Some fell asleep on the final way back and hopefully dreamt about a wonderful fourth day on a Hawai’ian island called Oahu.
#now getting some sleep and power for the next day!
Malaho Aloha
